Hi From Tassie
« on: December 27, 2010, 11:49:44 am »
Hi all, another newbie here. I have just ordered my TM, but will have to wait until after the 4th of Jan before the order will go through. My sister has one and I think they are brilliant. I spent the day at her house yesterday and we were on a mission to convince my husband that we needed one two. and as he loves food I didn't think it would be too hard. lol. Anyway firstly we made butter, the scones with the butter milk. Whipped cream, made peanut butter, relish and then fruity dreams. That was it he wanted one. So I ordered mine today.
I cant wait till mine arrives (What to cook first?????)

Hi and welcome to the forum Dede.It sounds as though you and your sister had a great plan of action to show your DH the full potential of the TM.And it worked. ;) Roll on the 4th January.

Hi Dede

I am also in Hobart and have had my Thermomix for around 3 weeks now.  Best purchase we have ever made and family and friends have benefited from loads of raspberry jam and rhubarb chutney - so much of this in our garden right now!!

I will be interested to see if any of the exhibitors use one at the Taste of Tassie over the next few days!

Enjoy your THermie on his arrival.

Welcome Dede. Now you have the hard part of purchasing a TMX. The waiting time. I'm sure it will go quickly for you.

Thanks everyone. The wait is like torture. lol. I am sure I will use the TM heaps as I have a family of 7. We have lots of black berries that we will be picking in a month or so around our area. I'm starting to stock up on Ice and today my sister and I set up a herb garden ready. What else should I stock up on ready?

Flipper, blackberries are great for jam but a bit too seedy for sorbet.  Hope you enjoy your adventures. With your TMX.

Thanks Thermomixer, Better late than never I say. Yes I have asked lots of questions since owning my TM. Still loving my TM everyday and always looking for new recipies to try.
