Varoma see-through lid
« on: December 17, 2012, 04:42:16 am »
Hi, I've noticed on some sites photographs of the aroma with a see through lid. Is that a standard thing nowadays or is it an extra that you can buy? Is it better than the old black lid?

I ended up buying a new Varoma. The see through lid doesn't fit the old Varoma, which is metal. Thermomix was really nice and sold it to me at a discount.

The new one is easier to use and I don't burn myself on the steam anymore. It also seems to be bigger. I do miss the metal lower part though. Plastic just seems wrong.

I bought my Tm in 2006 or 2007 and they had metal Varomas back then. I had an argument with a lady at Thermomix HO who kept trying to tell me that I had a TM21, when I knew that it is a TM31. It now has a lovely plastic Varoma.

I went to Thermomix HO the other day and they've set up a display like a museum of old Thermos and they had a TM21 on display. It was very cute :)

I see from your profile that you are a West Aussie. The display at HO is good isn't it?
