Salads
« on: May 18, 2011, 11:53:17 am »
Hi Everyone,
in case you haven't as yet noticed, MM has kindly given us a salad category now.  Faffa has kindly sent me lots of links to salad recipes which I've moved to the new category.  If I or she missed any, and you know of them / come across them - please would you let me know, together with the link?  Then we can gradually get all the salads together in one location - and they can have a party  ;) ;D

Thanks so much!
As my picture shows, I've suddenly become younger :-)  DD was of the opinion that her picture should be here, not mine!

I think it is going to be a long one Zan.

Thanks Caroline - it's good to see a few more categories covered.

I love salads all year. I do believe that winter has arrived in Perth from what I hear.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

yay its great to have all these sections it makes browsing for a recipe that little bit easier! unfortunately not the right season right now though but probably a great time to organise it all!
we live in albury/wodonga and i am originally a queenslander and i absolutely freeze down here!  especially wen we get the icy wind that blows straight from the mountains... brrrr so i am sure winter has arrived too!
wat makes it worse mr 4 has been begging me to take him to the mountains to see the snow and find the chocolate??(just starting to get an imagination lol).  i said to him we have chocolate here at home baby and i am sure poppy will take u to see the snow lol, its just not for me!

for me salads are definately a warm weather thing!! and as for snow we have snow here where i live EVERY year...no escaping it and as much as its pretty for hte first 5 mins after its just annoying and cold and veryyy difficult to drive in...not a fan either and miss aussie weather although will be ok for the next couple of months seeing as though its quite nice at the moment and we are heading into summer  ;D

A salad section is very timely for us - we have had a glorious April and so far May is looking good.  It could all go horribly wrong from here on in though  ;D ;D

LOL I have to remind myself all the time in winter here of walking up the road frozen just before we moved here and saying to dh that if I ever complain of a winter in Oz to remind me of this London day.
But I'm sure I dressed better when I was scrapping the ice off my car in the mornings!!!

:D  Yes, I'm very carefully avoiding saying ANYTHING which might jinx it.  I'm thinking that if I stay VERY quiet, things will just carry on this way ...  ;D

Meanwhile the first strawberries and peas were ready at the allotment yesterday - nice and early.
