I had great success with these rolls today as well.  ....  Perfect with a slightly crunch crust (I had sprayed the tops with olive oil and placed some boiling water in the bottom of the oven too like Isi does).

Good to see Isi's efforts paying dividends.

Made these today forgetting I'd done them in the past - had double printed the recipe out & therefore ended up with one in my 'done' file and one in my 'to do' file 
Still love them, second time around

JD when you say you put them in a 50 degree oven do you turn it off once its got to 50 degrees or do you leave it in while the oven is still on? I've been putting the air-con on while proving which serves two purposes to prove as well as heat our home -  its been quite chilly in the hills of late!

These rolls take quite a long time to prove LMT - today I left them in the 50^oC oven for a good hour with the temperature on before they doubled in size.  I know a lot of the girls turn theirs off and I do sometimes but not today.
