Hi
« on: June 14, 2011, 03:25:00 am »
Hi I'm Melanie from NSW (Australia). I'm married and we have 2 boys (6 and 4). My husband and I saw a TM demo yesterday and our TM should be here in a week or so lol.

We found this forum last night and I've spent quite a bit of time on here already. Once my TM arrives I'm sure I'll be on here a lot more!

Hi MGlatte,
Welcome. Just a warning about this Forum, It is highly addictive and may become an obsession.
You are going to absolutely enjoy using your TM, and if not I would be completely surprised. I have only had mine 5 months and still love using it day after day. I don't think I would ever get sick of it. Its my helper in the kitchen that I will never fire.

Hi and welcome.

I totally agree with dede, this is a highly addictive forum and you WILL become obsessed, but that's OK, we're all obsessed so you'll be among friends.

Help is never far away here, as you have probably surmised by now, so enjoy your browsing whilst you await your machine's arrival then you'll be ready to get stuck in straight away.  You've made a great choice buying a TMX and you will not regret it for a moment.

Hi Melanie and welcome to the world of TMX and in particular this forum.  I t is so good that you have discovered this invaluable resource prior to delivery of your thermie, you will be able to pick up so many hints from those who have travelled a similar road to you and your family.  Waiting for the arrival of this kitchen miracle is the most difficult part!!!!!!!  :)  :)  :)

Hi Melanie, welcome to the forum.  You have so much reading to do and only a week in which to do it  :D  You will want to be out in the kitchen cooking up a storm but the pull towards the forum will be very strong and to start with you may find yourself doing more reading than cooking. Pick yourself out a few recipes for when the big boy arrives, tell all your friends and relatives you won't be available for a few weeks and just enjoy getting to know your new best friend.

Thanks for the warm welcome and all the great info on this site.

Well my TMX arrived today and so far I've made pumpkin soup, bread rolls, pumpkin scones (tweaked a recipe), apple crumble (found on this site) and custard. DH is now having a play and is making coffee syrup (found on this site) and later on apparently we'll be having a hot chocolate.

I'm finding the making bit very addictive! lol
