I make a Lemon Spread, which is also known as Lemon Butter, however there is NO butter in the recipe I use. (much better for the Traditional figure) I have just made a double lot , for as Judy has pointed out, I use it in these 2 cakes. If you use my recipe, follow the weight measurement so as to get a nice strong tang. The Lemon Feather Cake is so easy, but is a special event cake. The Belgium lemon cake can be used as a dessert or as a cake. Some people don't like my recipe as it contains Custard Powder. I feel that the butter would add more to this Traditional Figure.
