Hi Everyone,

I cannot cope another moment.  Everytime I look on this wonderful forum, one of you Lovlies quotes this and that from the EDC.  I SIMPLY MUST HAVE THIS BOOK!!!! AHHHHHHHH!    >:(  >:(  >:(

The Sticky Date recipe today is what really pushed me over the edge.  In the post it something along the lines of "just follow the recipe in EDC on pp ???" and I hit the roof!!!!  I know I said that Thermie and I would only speak German to each other but if only I had EDC as my basis, I could practice my translation skills too!!

I feel like everyone in the playground knows something and I don't.  Secrets are really mean.  And I guess, I really have a jealous streak too, being an only child and all!

Thankfully, every problem has a solution.  My Mom lives in Brighton, Victoria.  Is there a demonstrator who might be able to supply my Mom with this book?  She'll pay of course. And then she can post it onto me.  I am sure this is the cheapest way.  I was going to try and hold out until Christmas but I simply cannot.  Hopefully someone will put me out of my misery very soon.  I will then be cool like all of you.

I'm sure there would be a Consultant on here that can help you out Lee. I can see where you are coming from and can understand your frustration. Hope you get your own EDC very soon.

I have the UK book and like it except for the fact that a lot of things are finished on the hob or in the oven ...

Lee have a look on the demonstrators thread and see if anyone is close to your Mum. It would save you the postage from HO. Otherwise she can order it from HO and it will cost $9.00 (I think) postage to her  ;)

Have you tried ukthermomix.com
They have everyday cooking at £19.95
They also have Fast and easy cooking £19 .95 which as Hally says is said to be better than the Oz one. I notice that they have the new 4th edition just out of this one.  They post really fast too.

Lee I am so sorry for being the cause of your frustration today as I was posting the recipe the thought did cross my mind that I should put the EDC instructions up for the wonderful non - Oz forum members.I will amend now for you.  :)

They also ship rapidly.  When I ordered mine last year I was pleasantly surprised at how soon it arrived in my mailbox.  It was also packaged nicely so there was no possibility of damage to the book in transit.

I've ordered a few direct from head office just by ringing the number from the website and handing over my credit card details so that's probably the easiest and quickest way rather than waiting for a consultant.

Thank you all so much.  Are there any differences between the Australian and the UK editions? I quite fancy having the Australian one, as I assume that it might contain more localised recipes.  Does anyone know have both?  I am quite happy to have both of course!!! 

Breaking news:

My consultant contacted me today, finally after one week, and she is giving me "My Way of Cooking" as a freebee and I receive a €30 gift voucher from HO, because I printed a voucher off the internet and by hosting a party I receive a further €50 cashback from HO.  So there is lots of good news today.  Hopefully I will see her tomorrow - fingers crossed!

I have both the EDC & the UK Fast & Easy - the UK book has far more recipes in it than the EDC but if you are like most of us, you will want any book associated with the TMX for your collection.  There are useful recipes in every book, some more than others.  As you are closer to the UK than Australia for posting, I'd just contact the UK people and get them both sent over from there.
