can any of the UK members help??
« on: August 01, 2011, 09:55:46 am »
Hi there to our UK members,
I was wondering if one of you cold help me by telling me how much a TMX costs in the UK?  We have friends from Yorkshire staying with us at the moment (in Australia) and they have seen the TMX in action, and were wondering how much one cost at home?
Thanks!
Karen

hi Karen

the Thermomix can be purchased from one source only in the UK: Thermomix UK.

Details including contact information can be found here:
http://www.ukthermomix.com/index.shtml

They're very responsive, and delivery is overnight. There are a number purchase options, including payment plans, and options for extra bowl. I purchased from them in March, and have been very very satisfied.

Phil.

I wonder why we don't have the extra bowl option here in Oz.  :(

Thanks Phil - the website is really informative - but I couldn't seem to find a price on it??  I understand that there are different payment options, but I was actually after a rough idea of what the price is in the UK.

i think the price changes due to exchange rate fluctuations (it is after all, imported). best bet is to email them directly to get the current price.  You can pay upfront, in 3-4 (can't remember) split payments. You can get an extra bowl/blade/basket/statula at a discounted price compared to buying separately.

I would be surprised if the price fluctuated - it doesn't her in Oz and I think Vorwerk sort of stipulate that so that customer satisfaction is maintained. Imagine how annoyed you would be if you paid one price one week and your friend got it cheaper next week!!

Janie and the team are very good, I would just send them and email KJH. I have had great response from them even phoning them using Skype.

I've just spoken to UK Thermomix (and had the added bonus of having the wonderful Janie answer the phone  ;) ;)).

The price is £885.   If you order an extra jug at the time of purchase (or up to 3 months after) the cost of it is £199 and you get an additional free spatula.    If you order an extra jug after this time I think it costs more and you don't get the free spatula.

That's $1300. We are getting ripped but then I suppose Germany is closer to UK. I think our wages are higher, what ever, it is worth it. I would pay it happily now  I have played with it for a couple of months. It's only money!

Our prices were set well before the Aussie dollar went through the roof as well. Our price hasn't changed in 2 years and back then the dollar was worth about $0.60 USD  ;)
