Keen and excited!

HI ALL!
I have been talking about buying a TM for at least a year - since my friend became a demonstrator and I held a demo for her to show us all the wonderful things it does - I was instantly converted! My fiance however, has taken quite a bit of convincing! Finally he caved (after the last big purchase was a new TV - which he watches a lot more than me hehe!)
YAY! Can't wait to get it and start cooking up a storm! I've been promised that it will arrive this week, and I can do nothing but look at recipes and plan exciting things! Can't wait to get into making everything without all those numbers in my food... eeee!
Kim.

Hi Kim, it is only fair if DF got a bit TV that you get a TMX - hope they are quite a way apart in the house though as he may get upset if he is trying to watch something and you start crushing ice
I'm sure DF will end up loving all the different food you will be able to make him, not to mention the cocktails - he will wonder why he took so long to convince.

Hello and welcome Kim. I'm sure you will enjoy your TMX as much as DF enjoys his TV. JD is right about the noise. We had to reorganise our rooms so I could close doors to reduce the noise from the TMX while DH watched TV.

thanks for the big welcome everyone! got my thermomix last night and my WONDERFUL demonstrator (bigTcup) cooked up a storm with food that I am allowed (i'm currently trying a dairy free/red meat free/wholegrains diet - liver cleansing) and I was absolutely stoked with the result!! Then we made vanilla custard and I know I tried the lemon one at the demo, but it was better than I remember!!!
Attempted carrot juicing this morning (with some celery) - that was a failure! Am going to have to mix a few things up I think - otherwise it will have no taste (carrot juice through the juicer is so concentrated and has a lot of flavour). Oh well, whats a few more fruit/veggies in your juice! Then I attempted porridge, but wanted to be creative and blitzed an apple first - it was OK - can't wait to cook dinner though!
haven't menu planned - am a bit overwhelmed by all the possibilities hehe. Am definitely going to attempt some bread this weekend. And excuse my ignorance - what does DF stand for? Anyway, he has already mentioned how noisy it is haha - am sure we will work something out!
Thanks for all the replies! Still excited!

Kim, in this instance it means Dear Fiance (as opposed to DH, dear husband) but in some threads it may mean dairy free
Glad you had such a great demo, well done bigTcup.

ah DF, I didn't know that one. At that stage in a relationship I would probably say Dear Frootloop, and then once they commit fully then go something a little more honable
. Good one JD.
