Thermomix and time travel

I was disappointed that I didn't get dinner ready in time to sit down with my family to watch Dr Who--we're all very excited about the new series! My 16 y o son came over and said was everything alright and did I need help. I replied everything was fine and soon I would have Clancy cooking dinner for us so I could come watch Dr Who too.  I made the comment that I just started getting everything ready 1/2 an hour too late.  My darling son replied "Never mind Mum, the next version of tmx will probably have a time travel attachment so that you can go back in time and start dinner earlier!"

We love watching Dr Who, but tonights episode we got lost. We are big David Tennant fans and are slowly  getting to like the new Dr.

Hopefully my DH recorded Dr Who for me as I missed it - I've got to admit that I am finding it hard to accept David Tennant's replacement.  Time travel and the TMX is a good combination - gives us lots more time to do more and more cooking!

My DH and DS 14 love Dr Who, they watched it last night. I am a bit over it, DS and I watch Merlin together

Ha ha my son says that he mentioned the time travel thing because it was the only thing TMX didn't do!

Yes Hally,  last night's ep had much reference to previous stories in it, my kids had to explain some plot elements to me!  Our favourite Dr was Christopher Eccleston, the 9th Doctor, so it took a while to get used to David Tennant!  My husband and I like sharing Dr Who with our kids as it is a link to our childhood (I can remember being petrified of daleks!) and it is one of the very few things that will drag my teenage boys away from their computers to watch as a family.

Hally I feel your pain!  One of my dearest friends is a David Tennant groupie and she steadfastly refuses to watch Matt Smith!  For us, I guess, we're Dr Who tarts . . . any dr is better than no dr!  This photo illustrates this point, taken when youngest child Fergus was 6 (now 13) and Jacob (now 16) was 9.

This is my first forum photo--unfortunately Jacob lost our camera when hiking in India recenty--hopefully when I get a new one I will be able to photograph some of the yummy tmx food I'm cooking!
