Flavoured Butters
Onion Parmesan Butter page 13
Easy & fab, just gives the butter a bit of an edge. Used spring onions.
Have used it through some fettucini for lunch, added some cracked black pepper & sea salt, nice.
Will look at making some different ones to keep on hand in the fridge.

Love the idea of these butters after adding a couple of rounds of garlic butter I had in the freezer to some steamed vegies the other day for visitors. They really loved the taste and were oohing and aahing whilst eating them so I figured I would try a couple of different butters for the freezer from Tenina's new book.
I made Cheddar butter and Citrus Herb Butter. Will add to this posting as and when I use them.

I've used the cheddar butter on top of steaks and also in mashed potato - delicious.

Made the cheddar flavoured butter today to have on our steaks. Loved it. Made 9 little rolls which have gone into the freezer, looking forward to making other flavours.

Julie, I just love how these little pats of butter can make a plain BBQ'd steak into something special without having to marinate the meat. It is so worthwhile having some of Tenina's flavoured butters in the freezer.
