Dariole moulds
« on: January 27, 2011, 09:23:02 am »
Hi everyone.  I'm in the middle of decluttering my cupboards and have come across some large dariole moulds which I have never used.  I dimly remember buying them to use for something thermomix related just before I became pregnant and went off cooking.  I have absolutely no idea what for though.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what they are useful for, or do they go into the charity shop bag?

Thanks!
As my picture shows, I've suddenly become younger :-)  DD was of the opinion that her picture should be here, not mine!

Use them for the steamed christmas puddings, or any cupcakes really.
I used them to make really decadent chocolate cupcakes for my daughters Birthday.  They make great towering cupcakes  ;)

Wow Maddy, those Look great!  do you just bake them normally in the oven, or do you steam them in the varoma?

I wish I could do beautiful flowers like on your cupcakes, they look amazing.

I use mine for steamed puddings in the varoma and cold desserts that go in the fridge.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Where are the recipes for steamed puddings?   Can't find them in the TM books I have.  Would love to do little syrup puddings etc
Any other ideas gratefully received

I dont have any but Dona Hay sometimes uses them for pies and especially small lamb shank pies.

Dont throw them out, you will use them.

I have been wanting some for a while, but i bought the pie maker :)

So much to buy, not enough spave or money!!!!LOL
