You should be fine taking a hamper, fresh fruit and veg are the big no no.
Spice mixes, jams, pickles, cakes and biscuits, wine.  I have taken and had no problems, even taken frozen food before.
Are you taking your thermomix ?
I child-proofed my house, but they still get in!
