Starting with a question
« on: January 04, 2012, 07:41:54 am »
Happy new year everyone. New to this forum but have been enjoying our Thermomix for 2 years and still learning new things. Now a question - has anyone tried a kiwifruit sorbet or similar?  I have quite a few to use!

Hi Michelle, No I haven't tried Kiwi, but I'm going too, thanks for the suggestion I think it would be yummy, maybe need a little more sugar as the ones I buy are on the tart side.  I can imagine the colour, you have me thinking now, strawberry and maybe a lemon one to go with it, three scoops.  What happened to the NY resolution to watch what I eat, well I suppose I will be doing that.  LOL

I have made some using some very ripe kiwi fruit that I had in the fridge that I wanted to use up. Just followed the recipe as is and it was fine. A very different taste to start with but was quite nice overall. As suggested would probably add a little extra sugar if they are not really ripe or are a little tart. Welcome to the forum Michelle and good luck with the sorbet.

Welcome to the forum Michelle@34. I haven't made a totally kiwi fruit sorbet bUt I don't see why it wouldn't work. It is nice in multi fruit sorbets.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Welcome to the forum Michelle. Kiwifruit sorbet sounds lovely.
Daiquiris would be good too.
