Pizza pockets?
« on: March 17, 2012, 07:24:10 am »
Has anyone made any before? Thought I would try tomorrow.
Would I just make the normal pizza dough and make small rounds and place filling on one round and put another round on top?
Any suggestions?

Have you got the Lunchbox and after school ideas set of recipes Mandi? Here's the reviews and discussions.

Thanks Judy, I do have the lunch box book. Forgot about it. This is one of the things I was going to make a long time ago but have never tried it as yet.
DS wanted me to buy some for his lunches at work but at $7 for 4 I don't think so. Will give them a try tomorrow and see what I come up with.
Thought I would just make the thin and crispy dough recipe and fill it with what ever ingredients I have already and see how they go.

hi dede
i make pizza pockets just from the normal pizza dough recipe, fill it with whatever yummy fillings we feel like, even leftovers from last nights dinner and they are delish!
the kids love them with just ham cheese and sauce but we tried them filled with chicken in yoghurt from the indian cookbook and they were soooo yummy!

I would say that the possibilities could be endless to what we could add to them.
Em do you make small circles and fill one side with the filling and fold the other side over and press the sides together?
What works best for you?
