Thanks andie, have printed out a couple of things there to try. The birds' nests recipe - I'll just use the recipe for chocolate spiders on the packet of Changs' Fried Noodles and mold them into nests.  In fact that will be a job for GS when he comes next week - getting down and dirty pressing chocolate covered noodles into a muffin tin will be right up his alley. The hardest job will be for me to keep his fingers out of his mouth during the process  ;D The Italian Easter Bread looks nice too - I would serve that with a chocolate egg in the centre and not bother with the real egg step.

JD I saw a Youtube clip that made these using shredded coconut and melted chocalte.  Looked simple but messy.

We did them with the fried noodles Dashingden, it was messy but it worked well.  I found the tiny speckled eggs so ours looked just like the picture in the link.  Should have taken a photo but they all went home with him - I put them in cellophane bags.
