Melbourne rebels

Just a totally unrelated topic. The Melbourne Rebels finally won a game! GO REBELS! Just wanted to tell people on this forum that not all of us Melbournites live and breathe footy and some of us actually love rugby union!! End of topic-Please don't post any topics saying how fantastic AFL is as I will totally disagree and I know I'll probably be shot down in flames by other members of the forum.

There's a place for all sport in our lives Merlin - we all have our favourites or maybe none at all but that's what choice is all about. Glad to hear your team has finally won a game and you are one happy supporter

I'm afraid I am a die hard AFL fan, but whatever sport we play or follow, it is wonderful when our team wins. I can understand your enthusiasm Merlin. I will actually listen now when I hear the rugby union results as I know a team.

I'm a union fan by default. Being married to Kiwi we watch all the games.
It's really funny when we go to watch a match as I'm the only Aussie in a sea of Kiwis yelling GO TAHS.

Merlin I am happy for you. I love Rugby but I think I would love AFL too if I knew the rules. I really need a Dummies book to understand it. Rugby League is easy to understand, just one boofhead banging in to another. Now Cricket, there is a real sport.

Gert, I absolutely love cricket as well, only, now the weather is finally getting colder, rugby union is more our scene. Can't say I have taken to rugby league in any great way either.

I agree! The All Blacks are the best rugby team on the planet!- well actually, they are, seeing they just won the world cup.
