Ok well I'm not much to give advise on this subject as I have only made lasagna sheets with my pasta maker.
But anyway the lasagna sheets worked out really well (although I think I rolled them a little thin) but still great. I'm yet to try making spaghetti which is my next adventure.
As for making the dough that's too easy, just chuck eggs and flour in TM and whizz for a few seconds and it's done ready to knead by hand.
I only paid $15 for my roller (without the extra attachments. It's not a top quality one, but I thought that if I didn't use it often then it's only $15 so who cares :)
This looks like a good buy with the extra attachments.  But I guess it would depend on how often you would use it. But it's not a huge amount to spend still.

Maddy this is a very good buy. Mine cost at least $80 and that was with only the fettucini and spaghetti attachment. Pasta dough is very easy in TM I let it do all the kneading, and only give it a couple of minutes of kneading by hand.

If I didnt already have one this would be a must have. I'm looking at the motorised attachment at the moment.
