You should do a website for your business that way those of us that don't live in tas could check it out and use your services if it's convenient to your needs?? Just a thought!

I did think of that at one stage Frozzie , but as I do custom framing it's hard to show people choices without being face to face. Yes I could make ready made frames but I couldn't compete with cheaper versions around. At one stage I was looking into tassie timber frames (which are beautiful) but very expensive and a lot more time involved. At this stage I'm still doing everything by hand which means I can keep my prices down which is more affordable for more people without loosing quality. I do love framing and it's something I can do for many years to come. And working from home is amazing when you have a young family to take care of as well. :)

I think people are willing to pay if you have something unique and of quality.. Most things around that are cheaper are that way because they are mass produced.. If you have a unique product or materials you can use that and yes you do custom made but I'm sure you take photos of your work so use them as examples of your work for a website.. These days people look online and will pay for something unique and wonderfully done like hand made frames.. Examples of your work go a long way to enticing future customers and giving them an idea of what you can do..

Yep that's another thought. Only problem there is I do the paper run on Sunday mornings with the kids (most markets are on a Sunday ) and my kids wouldn't be happy if I stopped doing it as they receive 100% of the money :) we have been doing it for 2.5 years now. And it's a bit of pocket money for the kids.
I have a few ideas in my head on how to boost my business, just have to sort out the details :)
