Wanted to some lemon tarts & need to blind bake pastry, well cook it without any filling.

Yes Hally i would. put some baking paper, and rice or what you use.
Should be the same as blind baking in the oven.

I have just done 4, it worked but not very pretty pastry cases. Will fill the 3 left with bol sauce fir ds afternoon tea, bless him
