What about Chookies Malt Loaf.  I make it using dates and walnuts instead of the dried fruit.  I think oldies would love slices of this with their morning coffee - and I have found it keeps ok for about 5 days.  Bake in small individual loaf tins.

Obbie,  what a thoughtful person you are.  Cookie Nuts and Bolts would be nice,  and 1 mix makes a lot.

what about dedes French Onion Soup Mix, i have been using it in soups and risotto its really yum

Yes, the onion soap mix is very good. We got some in our goodie bags.
