If the photo you had Uni, was taken in WA I'd definitely say it was Kale - Black Tuscan.

Just had a look at the link and a couple of others. In Australia Black Tuscan and overseas Cavolo Nero. So its one and the same.

I'm going with kale - we had it growing in our vege patch, but the white moths got to it in the last couple of days and practically decimated it! Very fat white moths flying around at the mo

kezza, I mainly grow kale as a sacrificial plant. White moths love it and leave caulis and broccoli alone. I prefer broccoli and caulis to kale. Only use kale in VSC, excellent for that.

SueJen as I re-read this thread, I was beginning to think that perhaps Cavalo Nero and Black / Tuscan Kale were also the same thing (surprising what a night's sleeping on a conundrum can do).
