Curly66, I quite often make smoothies using whatever vegetables I have in the fridge and a mixture of other ingredients. I've made two 'green' smoothies today using a combination of fruit and vegetables;
Smoothie 1:
2 eggs (I wanted to have some extra protein as I had this after a gym session and before a bush walk)
handful of two of lettuce (I used butter lettuce)
1 banana (I like to keep frozen banana in the freezer to throw in my smoothies)
handful of frozen blueberries
1 teaspoon of Shatki's Superfood blend (spirulina, chlorella, bee pollen, barley grass, wheat grass, maca root, mesquite and chia seed)
water
Smoothie 2:
1 egg
handful of baby spinach
1/2 avocado
handful of frozen raspberries
1 teaspoon of Shatki's Superfood blend
water
I've also used other ingredients like kale, beetroot, cucumber, yogurt, etc. in my smoothies. I really just play around with it until I get a flavour I like.
I think I actually have some green smoothie recipes somewhere. If I can find them I'll post some of the suggestions.
