Skinflint re-vamp
«

I've been busy today planning my re-vamp for Skinflint.
I'm changing my name and logo and have been working on both. I will soon be known as MJ Skincare. I've registered both domain and business name and applying for ABN in that name.
It will be some time before the changes take place as I have a lot of labels to use up. I'm going to gradually change my containers so they're more classy. Initially, my aim was to provide really quality handmade products at a reasonable price. Although I have a strong and loyal clientele, I want to expand into the wholesale market, aiming for beauticians etc.
I had a very interested beautician who eventually decided not to go with my brand because of my packaging. That's when I began to think of moving up market. Not to the degree where the packaging costs more than the product, but just so I can compete.
When I'm happy with my concept, I'll post the ideas here to get some feedback. I trust my forum friends!

Good for you MJ. I must admit I never thought "Skinflint" was a very positive brand name, and this one is a whole lot better.

Well done, MJ, it takes courage, determination and a lot of fore-thought and some lateral thinking for a small business to make such a radical change. Very best of luck with your future re-vamped business. It's a much 'softer' and more user friendly name so I am sure it will catch the market for you.

MJ, seems like a good move. I must say I quite like your packaging, but I think the name is better. your produce is beautiful and I would encourage members to try some of your goodies. The only time I have come across soap as smooth but foamy , was hand made in France.
I feel that where we can, we should support Forum members if they have a business that provides a good service or product. That we need. Good luck MJ.

Well, I've gone ahead and registered for a domain name, business name and ABN in the name MJ Skincare. I'm loving the whole idea and am eagerly trawling the net looking for more elegant containers that don't cost too much!
Thank you all for your positive comments and support!

MJ
Using your name on branding is wise.
Pretty packaging can be the difference of someone choosing your product, over another. It sounds like a good move on both counts
can't wait to see what you come up with!
