My year with thermie
«

I just realised that my first anniversary of owning a TMX passed over a week ago, I can't believe the year has gone so fast! It's also been just over a year since I joined this forum, and I'm so glad I did.
I want to thank all you forum members and especially our brilliant moderators for all your invaluable advice and wonderful recipes. Without you all I doubt I would have achieved half as much with thermie. From being a 'reluctant' cook, I now can't wait for my days off when I can get in the kitchen! I make my own bread, curry pastes, dips, sauces etc and the kids always have home made snacks in their lunch boxes. I never would have thought this was possible a year ago.
I've also started to save money (thanks H) despite having a few more tins & gadgets (thanks shopping thread), and I've had a lot of laughs. Oh - and I also have a surprise waiting for me under the Xmas tree!
Sorry to ramble on, just wanted to say a heart-felt thanks, and keep up the good work! 😘😘😘

The time does go quickly. I have had mine for 4 years now. A great food filled 4 years and forum fun.

It all sounds good Deedub, happy people are what we like to see on here. I would replace mine in a flash if it blew up tomorrow.

8 months.... 4 as normal life and four in total turmoil, what would I have done without thermie and my wonderful friends?
I simply don't know.
Thanks everyone.

I 've just realised that it's my one year anniversary this week too. When I bought it, I honestly didn't think that I'd use it as much as I have.
And I didn't anticipate that I'd join an online forum either. Nor did I realise that I'd need my own iPad so that I could cook recipes from that forum and then browse the forum. Not to mention being introduced to POK and the shopping thread. Oh, and then I travelled to WA and spent a weekend in Margaret River, to meet a bunch of people that I'd never met before.
A lot can happen in a year

It's life changing really isn't it - or at least fitting so much more into your current way of life and adding heaps of enjoyment along the way. Gotta love it
