Personally i have found alot of the big name champagne houses dont live up to their price tag.. My,fav champagne is a small family operation .. Their champagnes are lovely and beat the commun houses hands down imo..
Have any of u tried white truffles.. More intense flavour.. Alot more expensive than its black cousin but no shelf life...one of the areas they are found is in san miniato in italy of course where we visited last year but it was not the season for them so you couldnt taste any of it fresh just shavings on pasta etc.. Ohand u cant cook it either...people enjoy the intensity of it but chefs dont use it as much as the black truffle as its just not as versatile..
