Releasing stuck bread

This might be something that seasoned bread makers already know, but I've discovered if your bread is stuck in the tin (which my mini loaves did today despite being in oiled non-stick tins) then plunging the base of the still hot tin in to cold water helps release the bread.  It is a tip I got from a middle eastern cookbook as a way to release crusty rice from the bottom of a pot and it works a charm, then figured out it would work for bread as well.
Worth a go before you sacrifice a big chunk of stuck-on bread!

Thanks Bonsai. Hate it when this happens.

Thanks Bonsai. I have one tin that seems to do this all the time, not matter how well I grease it.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Good tip bonsai, here is another.
A preventative tip to stop sticking loaves is to never wash your bread tin.
I butter mine before using each time and never wash it. It becomes seasoned and less and less likely to stick.
