Raspberry Tart
« on: February 10, 2013, 09:02:58 am »
A recipe taken from " les recettes de mimi "  at http://www.lapassiondemimi.fr/article-tarte-flan-aux-framboises-109759099-comments.html#anchorComment

Tried it and gave this ( see photo below)

Of course as usual you have step by step photos at http://thermominoux.over-blog.com/article-tarte-flan-aux-framboises-thermomix-110063416.html

Ingredients:
•1 Shortcrust pastry
•250 g raspberries
•200 g whipping cream
•1 egg + 1 egg yolk
•50 g sugar
•a few drops of vanilla extract or flavour

Preparation:

•Preheat oven to 180 °C ( 355 ° F)
•Prepare the dough, roll it and line a pie plate
•Bake the pastry covered with parchment paper with some dried vegetables on it for 15 minutes in the oven
•Place in the bowl the cream, sugar, egg yolk and vanilla extract. Mix for 10 seconds at speed 4
•Remove the dough without turning off the oven, leave it to cool, then arrange the raspberries and pour the cream over
•Bake once more for 30 minutes at 180 °C ( 355 ° F) , then 10 minutes at 200 °C ( 390 ° F) to brown edges
•Serve warm or cold

Feedback welcomed. For me I found it tasted better when served cold rather than warm.

This looks absolutely delicious. I can't wait to try it. I am a sucker for anything with custard or frambois :)
My french is almost non existent, but in English, when we bake blind, we use dried beans rather than dried vegetables.

I think this would be good with young pink rhubarb cut very thin.

Will look at what value fruit is available when shopping tomorrow. Bit early for cheap rhubarb here.

Thanks very much

Hye It's a good idea. I have posted a new translated recipe with rhubarb on the forum.  Title : Rhubard Pie- Condensed Milk.
So if you like  rhubarb have a look at http://thermominoux.over-blog.com/article-un-tour-en-cuisine-n-222-114417018.html
