Some interesting information here from David Gillespie about the different oils we use  . . .

Yeah, I read that on news.com.au this morning... :)
My Thermomix,  Kitchen Aid, Pizza oven, Nu Wave 5 in 1, Spatulas, all brings love, laughter, happiness, and great food  to my kitchen.

I think we all knew this anyway. Nothing new here.  What oil you use really comes down to what flavour you want .

Thanks GF.  I love a good Olive oil.  We are lucky that we have quite a lot of good producers in our area.  It is amazing the difference in taste. At the Farmers Markets you can taste before you buy.

It seems "oils ain't oils”.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

I have just bought  a two litre cask of  http://www.cockatoogrove.com.au/our-olive-oils/. Haven't opened it yet but all reports are that it is ok .

I have about 50 mls left in a bottle and so Iwill be "breeching"the cask this week.  It is the organic conversion virgin , what ever that is. LOL I paid $20 plus delivery which is not  bad.  At least it is Australian and has not been transported from Spain or Italy in a tanker by ship.
