Photos in Tapatalk
« on: May 02, 2013, 11:29:52 am »
Do any iPad gurus know how to reduce a photo on my iPad before putting it on Tapatalk?

I take the photos with my iPhone and they're automatically synced to my iPad.
I've tried using iPhoto for iPad, but there's no option to reduce the size.

My PC wont recognize my iPhone all of a sudden, so this is the on,y option right now until I get my camera back from DS.

When I upload through tapatalk I choose the mountain option and choose a pic from the library. It then gives me three options of the quality I want to upload. I always choose med. I think that makes it a more 'normal' size. Or perhaps we should both use the small?

I always select small unless I want people to be able to see something specific. I think whatever size you think will suit the photo.

I don't have that option that you mention, Brumington. I simply have no way of resizing the photos in my photo album on my iPad. I've downloaded an app to resize photos, but it closes as soon as I open it. Luckily it was only .99c.

Hmmm. I wonder why you don't have that option? I'm running on the free one, are you?

No, I have HD, the paid one. Maybe that's it. But, you think the paid one would have the same, if not more, options!  >:(

Well yeh, I would have thought so! In the free one it literally comes up as soon as you choose the photo and press upload. You can't avoid it IYKWIM?

MJ look on the subject iPad tips snd tricks, about the 2nd or 3rd page. Personally I convert my photos down by emailing to myself etc as tapatalk takes up way too much space IMO ad I can't see the benefit of using it

I too have problems with my ipad mini with photos being too big.  The only way I have successfully reduced them is to do what CP does and email them to myself and selecting small, large etc in the BC/CC option.  I have tried to edit the photo on the ipad and selected the smallest size available but then it tells me it is still too big for this forum using tapatalk .  Will be interested to hear if others have solved the problem some other way.

I wonder does it depend on what device you have taken a photo? I only ever use photos I have taken with my iPhone 3.

I don't see a mountain?  option on Tapatalk when loading a pic from the iPad. I do what CP told me which is what I said earlier.it is very frustrating and must drive everyone nuts with such big pics that you have to scroll .

Still it does the job.

Gert when I go into reply to topic there are 3 grey picture....a camera, what I think is a mountain with the sun and a bird. I sound so computer illiterate! It's probably not a mountain at all!!!!

Same here, Marie. I've posted a topic on the Tapatalk Forum and will check back soon to see if there's been a response. I just can't be bothered emailing a photo to myself!
