New owner with dietary issues
«

Hi. I am the new owner of a TM31 as of a few hours ago! I have a few dietary issues - severe and minor food allergies, food intolerances, etc. Won't bore you with the details here, but I am looking for low FODMAP, gluten-free, nut-free, soy-free, dairy-free & probably a few other-free (!) Thermomix recipes. My consultant has been fantastic, but I think I'm a bit of a challenge! I can already see several more ways I can cook using my acceptable foods, but I would love to hear from others with dietary issues and learn from their experiences with a Thermomix. Thanks!

Hi cindym, welcome to the forum. Severe food intolerances are quite hard to cater to, I have none so I'm therefore only able to agree with what CC has told you and add that you may need to google quite a lot to find answers to your ingredient problems. When googling, always add thermomix to your question, an example for our dairy intolerant members would be 'dairy free chocolate cake thermomix'. From there it is easy for them to find what they are looking for. Of course you have far more ingredients on your list and I wish you well with finding some answers.

Welcome, cindym.
Hopefully the list on
this thread
will help you pick appropriate Thermomix recipes.

Hello and welcome Cindy. I'm sorry I can't help with the dietary issues but I am sure with the thermomix you will find lots of ways to help. You will know exactly what is in your food.

Many thanks for your warm welcome everyone, and your suggestions. Much appreciated! I have been following up on your suggestions, and with a few tweaks to recipes, I should be able to expand my repertoire, even if I can't add new ingredients. Quirky Cooking was a great place to start, Cornish Cream. The thread you mentioned, cecilia, was also a great place. I will follow up on some of the recipes included there. Despite being a brand new owner, I've already eaten several dishes I haven't had in years, like risotto and custard! So basic, but not worth the effort of making without the Thermomix. It can only get better from here! Thanks again.
