does the mixture need to be the fridge or freezer to chill

its was in the fridge nearly 24 hour and now its been over 20min in the ice cream machine and its still very runny, help  ;D

i don't need a recipe i'm italian

20 minutes isn't that long in an ice-cream maker Uni, keep at it until it thickens.  Both Chookie & Cookie have made it in theirs so it does work.

My icecream maker usually takes round 50 minutes in the summer to get icecream really thick.

I'm going to make some more of this one and add mushed up bananas.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

really 50 mins, i have made ice cream a few times now and its ready i  25-30 mins i just looked at the book that come with my machine and all of the recipes take between 25 to 30 mins.

i did not waste it i turn it into a ice cream cake its yummy, i added eggs more sour cream and more sugar

will post if any one is interested

Clever you. My machine is a Sunbeam and I think it is not as brilliant as the Cuisanart ones. But I am happy with it.

I have made this for Bruce's Birthday.  He is sugar free so added sugar substitute and left out honey.  Added 2 teaspoons of vanilla to double mixture. Will serve it with Quick Fix Raspberry and Red wine sauce.

This is a lovely icecream. We haven't had as much icecream since it got cold. I may make some of the Heilala vanilla folks icecream. I think it should be very nice.
