Melting chocolate chips
« on: July 29, 2013, 12:06:55 pm »
I made a big mistake on the weekend and bought chocolate bits (the ones that don't melt when you bake them) when I really wanted ones that would melt......

I was a bit desperate on Sunday afternoon so blitzed the chips in to a fine powder then stirred speed 1 at 37 degrees and they melted 😉.  Not the ideal solution but good in an emergency.

Good thinking and a handy hint for the rest of us.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

I have resorted to this a couple of times when the cupboard was bare...that is, if the kids hadn't found them first!
