Hello from Canberra!

Hi!
I've owned my Thermomix (called the "Cooking Monster", inspired by my daughter's Sesame Street obsession!) since late December last year, but this is my first time posting to forumthermomix so thought I'd quickly introduce myself.
I was 39 weeks pregnant with my second bub when I got my thermo, and luckily managed to squeeze in a few weeks of playing with the magical machine before bub arrived (bless him, he stayed put till 42 weeks just so I could keep playing!). In that time I managed to cook sooooo many meals to stockpile in the freezer to keep my husband, toddler and I going in those newborn weeks. Once bub did arrive, I still managed to cook most days which, to me, was absolutely mind-blowing given that my husband and I pretty much subsisted on takeaway pizza for the first few months of our first-born's life!! This time round, we managed without any take away for months and months. That was what made me realise what an amazing and life-changing appliance we'd brought into our household.
I'm about to start going through the training process to become a Consultant, which I'm really excited about. I think this will awaken even more passion for cooking and get me so much better acquainted with our beloved Cooking Monster.
I'm looking forward to hopefully showing others what a truly spectacular machine this is, and am passionate about providing ongoing support, inspiration, and learning opportunities (even if it's 'what not to do' lessons via my thermowrecks!) long after the machine has arrived.
I also love all the inspiring and mouth-watering blogs, facebook pages and communities we're so lucky to have on the interwebz
, and I can't wait to start really exploring the wealth of information on forumthermomix - I've been directed to some of these pages via google searches over the last almost-year, so just want to say thanks to all of you for sharing your experiences and knowledge.
Anyway, that's enough of an essay for now - hope to see you around the forum!

Hi ThermomPegs, welcome to the forum. You'll be kept very busy juggling motherhood and selling Thermomixes but you sound passionate so I wish you luck in your new venture.

Welcome Thermopegs, my DIL has had a thermomix for several years now and was a complete novice when it came to cooking but now she has the confidence to be a consultant and is thoroughly enjoying it. She produces beautiful meals for her two children and DH and I get to sample some of it at times as well. I,m sure you are going to love this experience.
