Hi Everyone,
Well I had my first preview of a Thermomix on the weekend and I'm converted and orded mine straight away! I can't wait to get and I feel so excited to cook again. Does anyone have any suggestions on what my first meal should be?

Hi Kate, welcome to the forum and thanks for joining us. Exciting times ahead for you, I hope you don't have to wait too long for your delivery. You'll have time to browse the forum and find plenty of recipes with lots of reviews but perhaps check out
this list
of great recipes compiled by our lovely CP as these are her top picks and we all tend to agree with her choices.

Welcome to the forum Kate. It is such an exciting time when you order your thermomix. The waiting is such a hard part of the adventure. As you see when you look through the forum we all love our machines. Some of us have had them for many years and others are new to the adventure.
A handy thing to make first is the vegetable stock. That is an excellent basis for so many other things like soups and risottos. Both of these things are good to start with. Have a look through out CP's list and select a couple of things too. As Judy has said it is a very helpful list.
Good luck and let us know how you go.

Hi and welcome Kate.
Once you have decided what to cook first, make sure you have the ingredients on hand so you can get to it straight away!

Thank you for the warm welcome and ideas, they have been super quick and my thermie comes tonight, I can't wait! The consultant is going to show me how to cook stock and my OH wants pizza dough so that will give me a couple of things to try. I can't wait to really test it out on the weekend!
