VegStock Concentrate - 2013 EDC Page 23

Made a batch of this last night after getting a box of veges cheap (which included all the veg needed for this recipe - and others too)
Can't say I have exactly tasted it but it smells and looks like vege stock concentrate so I guess it is right!  ;)

(Also have not compared to see if this is any different to the old EDC recipe either. )

Only slight changes astarra -  an extra clove of garlic and no mushrooms in this one.

Kombu. I always add mushrooms anyway and often add dulse flakes.
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

I have dulse flakes in the pantry and I'm nearly out of stock concentrate and have to make some this week. What quantity of dulse flakes please MJ?

I think it was about a tablespoon, but can't really remember! That would work, I reckon.
