Recipe Review - Banana Ice Cream - Baby & Toddler Book p222
« on: December 19, 2013, 03:01:04 pm »
I can't say I liked this. I can taste the coconut milk too much and although I love coconut milk normally, I didn't in this. My 2 year old daughter however enjoyed it. She thought it was too cold freshly made but really enjoyed eating it the next day as an icy pole.

The Thermomix did struggle to chop it all up and so I recommend using the spatula to help things along and giving it extra time.

I made this tonight with Carnation Coconut Milk so it obviously wasn't as coconutty as Tasty's version using real coconut milk.  I'd like to try it with real coconut milk (maybe the low fat one) to compare but I quite liked this.

I didn't read your review until after I made it Tasty but I did use the spatula even though the recipe doesn't advise you to and I had no trouble mixing it for the specified time.

I'd love some of that right now.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.
