Quince Chutney /Quince & (other fruit) Chutney
« on: May 22, 2014, 09:15:49 pm »
There is a Quince group that becomes more active around this time of year.  Recently, one very fortunate lady posted that from her one (Smyrna) tree she was able to process 18 jars of jelly and 19 preserving jars of preserved quince fruit pieces.  :o :D She was also keen to try a chutney and this was a suggestion for her.  I thought other quince lovers might like to check it out . . . :D

I wish I could get my hands on some quinces. I stewed them a couple of years ago with star anise and Marsala. I then used the leftover liquid to put into ice cream. My brother has a tree in the country but he is away.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.
