Hi from Sydney
« on: August 05, 2009, 01:53:40 pm »
My TM was delivered last Saturday, so far so good!

I was going to buy a Kitchenaid mixer and whilst 'researching' I came across the TM...lucky.
I have made a few things so far that have been OK, my stock is really salty (and I love salt) so I will reduce that next time, and my scone dough was sticky and they turned out a bit heavy, maybe because I added a bit of spelt. I have never been very good a following recipes.
I have been trawling the site over the last couple of weeks and thank everyone for the tip, I look forward to more learning.

Hi Nerida and welcome. I found the stock very salty too and we don't really use salt!! I have reduced my salt by about 100g. I use enough of it not to need it for preserving  ;D ;D

Hi Nerida and welcome :)

I made hot cross buns and I swear it took more time to clean the bowl than it did to prepare everything...

Have fun getting to know your TM!

Hi & welcome to the site Nerida.  My scone mixture is very sticky too (& I follow the recipe) but they turn out light and fluffy. Good luck with your cooking.

Welcome Nerida. Glad you chose the TMX over the Kitchenaid.
