Smash Hit Potatoes (Keeping it Simple)
« on: January 18, 2014, 03:00:04 am »
Made these a few days ago to go with grilled meat and they were fantastic. I used butter for the fat (didn't have duck or lard) and forgot to smash them down at the end. Mine looked more like chunky wedges but tasted great and everyone liked them. I used the full 2kg of potatoes and all were eaten.

I served it with the Salsa Verde from this book which also turned out great; what else would it be from Tenina's recipe.

Hope I have put this in the correct place; still working my way around the forum.

I made these recently and ended up with mashed potato. It tasted delicious though!
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.
