BEEF VINDALOO (Can be done in Slow Cooker)
« on: January 27, 2015, 11:29:46 pm »
So inspired by Katiej's recent Curry Night Menu!  I did a bit of googling to find a suggested recipe for the Beef Vindaloo and found this. . .

 http://edibletcetera.com/2012/12/15/from-js-kitchen-authentic-indian-beef-vindaloo/

Excellent suggestions there re preparing ahead, slow cooker or oven,  freezing, etc.

There was a reference to  Bangalore Phall - something I'd never even heard of . . . more googling came up with

http://rubymurray.com/curry/displayrecipe.php?Name=Beef+Bangalore+Phall+Recipe - subheaded with "Death by Curry" . . . and with that number of habaneros or scotch bonnets I'd imagine you'd be lucky to make it to the door of the ER!!!!  I love chillies, but the very thought of that kind of heat makes me twitch and my eyes swizzle and swirl!!!  ;D ;D ;D

Thanks Katie!!   :-* :-* :-*

I agree with the ER statement GF. 5 teaspoons chilli powder plus all the chillis. How hot would it be? It's beyond my comprehension. I've eaten curries that I loved that made my lips numb and my nose run, but it didn't taste hot. A beautiful flavour.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.
