Egg Free Cake Recipe?
« on: March 04, 2015, 10:32:23 pm »
Sorry guys, if this is a repeat of a post, but not able to do a proper search...

Can I ask advice on a fail-proof egg free cake? Nuts and chocolate are okay.
Its my in-laws anniversary on sunday and I would like to bake an egg free cake for them..
Please also direct me to some good icing recipes..

I used to make an eggless Apple Cake, which was very nice. Mr Google can probably help.

... did I read somewhere that you can substitute egg with apple sauce?  May be worth a bit of investigation.

There is an eggless apple cake. I think the recipe is on here, posted by Judy. I've made it and it is lovely.

The Sun Bran Loaf on here is lovely too, but only as a home cake.

Oops. Sorry, I suggested that. However there is a delicious Apple cake with sultanas and no eggs in it somewhere. Probably not on here.

OK, another search has turned up this eggless apple cake.

There's a gingerbread cake here from Quirky Jo

Here's a link to a couple of eggless cakes, easy enough to make in the TMX

Cannot find the cake you mentioned cookie.

I don't think it was on here Judy. Sorry to muddle you up. I have made your Apple Cake and it was lovely.
