Michelle, it's so awful to find out that lives were lost. How terribly sad.
Glad you're okay and can help those less fortunate.

I've been thinking of all our Thermo friends in affected areas of NSW...
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

. . . . and just when we think it's all over, look what happens . . . This was this afternoon after a sunny day.  More storms are forecast during the week but this is one time I'd be happy for the weather people to get it wrong!!  :(

So glad to hear that you are OK Mich.  The weather up your way is sure strange at the moment.  Couldn't believe the hail storm I saw on the news tonight!

I couldn't believe it when I saw all the hail on the news. It looked just like snow.

It's midnight and we are back up and running.  ;D The weather has been wild and woolly. Beautiful sunshine today which made it easier but more storms tonight. (mild ones) Can't wait for DH to get home. Have cleaned up somewhat. Emptied the freezers a few days ago. Thinking that there is just DH and myself that we don't need the extra freezer in the garage.
Shame really as DS (butcher) bought a stack of meat up Friday week ago when he came up for my birthday, not that I eat it but would have been good for the house guests I'm expecting.
It will be so lovely to have a shower in my own bathroom without wearing thongs.
Now to deal with insurance.  :-\ I'm just taking the Dr Seuss approach to life.

Glad you have come out of reasonably ok Mich. Did you get hailstones last night? We were driving when we were pelted with hailstones. Hope we don't have more storms. Everyone in our neighbourhood is putting out so much furniture and other stuff ruined by the storms.

It's hard to believe it can get that bad but pictures don't lie.  I was out all day and night so didn't see any of this on the TV news, unbelievable and I do hope you aren't pelted with more of the same.  The weather is crazy these days.
