Yet another newbie here
« on: September 10, 2009, 04:53:35 am »
hello! im a new thermomix person also- have had mine for a few weeks now, i cant believe how much money i am able to save! i made the potato and leek soup the other night and it was a bit of a disaster- it tasted way way way too salty!! i think the recipe asked for 2TBS of TM stock- which my hubby did, but i had to end up adding another 2 leeks and 6 potatos to make it edible! so if you do that one i would try 2TSP of stock and go from there!!!
have fun!

Welcome to both of you. I find that I only need to add 1 teaspoonTM stock for every cup of water (or 250ml)
I had a few disastrously salty soups and risottos too.

Welcome mcm12183. I have found with the concentatred stock I do not need to use so much rock salt as I usei it up quickly. You will have a few disasters along the way but that is what we are here for. It is all good fun. I bet you will be eating the soup for some time!

Hi mcm12183 welcome to our forum.  It is a bit of trial and error to start with but you'll get the hang of it and once you start having some successes you'll be on your way to bigger and better things.  Keep us posted on how you are going with your cooking.

Welcome, I am loving all theses newbies  ;D ;D I have reduced the salt in my stock as well, only because I use so much of it and we are not salt eaters
