Easy Blueberry Icecream - EDC
«
on:

Recipe Name: Easy Blueberry Icecream
Book Name: EDC
Tweaking details: I used cream iceblocks instead of milk/yoghurt ones, and frozen raspberries instead of blueberries
Review: Absolutely heavenly. I ate it for dinner (instead of the EDC Butter Chicken I made
) It is sooooo more-ish.
Score: (out of 5*) Easily a 5/5. Would absolutely make again, in fact I have already frozen more cream in anticipation!

I've frozen some cream and have a packet of mixed berries to try this later in the week. This tweaking thread really gets you moving doesn't it

It seems that we read a recipe and think about it and then if someone else reports on it we give it a go. It is a great idea.

I will have to buy some extra cream later this week to try it. We have had so much "yoghurt icecream" lately that something with cream will be lovely.

I knew I froze that cream for something but forgot what
Browsed my postings list until I found this.
So, I did half quantity and didn't read the recipe properly and therefore didn't add the bit of liquid to help bring the frozen cream cubes and frozen raspberries together. However, I don't think the 1T would have helped at all as the mixture was very dry and crumbly. As you can with the TMX, I fixed it by adding around 200mls of strawberry yoghurt which I was lucky enough to have in the fridge. I tried less to start with but it didn't look like ice-cream so I just kept adding until it did. It is delicious but not quite what I set out to achieve. Funny how things work for some people and not others

I made this again using fresh strawberries. So delicious and fresh tasting, and very more-ish. Unfortunately I am finding my jeans a little tight with all my over indulgence....

Ah ha, so it works with frozen cream and FRESH fruit, not frozen as per recipe. Got it
Recipe book has been changed so I don't get caught again
Thanks CarolineJ

Caroline it seems that when we purchase a TMX something happens to the water and all our clothes shrink.
