Hello from Perth Australia
« on: December 29, 2009, 06:30:24 am »
Hi There,

My thermomix was delivered a week and a half ago and so far I am very impressed!! I have already done 2 sorbets, a dip, salad, lasagne, risotto, chicken liver pate, batch of vege stock, numerous salad dressings and a pannetonne, which have all turned out fabulously!! I got the TM because I am time poor due to my partner and I having very demanding jobs but outside of my work, cooking is my number 1 passion.  It used to get me down that I couldn't make more from scratch and was getting frustrated at coming home from work and having to spend all night in the kitchen but the TM has certainly changed that.

I am a huge foodie, so my goal for the year is to creat a cookbook for the TM from recipes of my own, many of which I hope to post on this forum (time permitting, I will do my best!)

So just wanted to say 'hello' and I look forward to sharing with you all!

Cate

Welcome CateA from another Perthite. I'll look forward to your recipes. Perhaps you will even be able to have the book published along the line somewhere.

I hope so Cookie!! That's kind of a dream of mine!!

I just posted my first recipe which we tried last night and was lovely... so I am on my way!!

It's a prawn, pea and fennel risotto and is in the seafood section.

Take Care!

Hi CateA, welcome to the forum.  You have certainly hit the ground running.  Sounds like this recipe book is going to be a beauty if your first posting is any indication of things to come.  Have fun.

Hi CateA and welcome. Looking forward to some of your recipes your risotto looks divine. Unfortunately with DS allergic to seafood I would need someone else to cook it for me to try it  :( :(

Hi Cate and welcome! Great to see that you're up and running. I look forward to trying out your recipes.  :)
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.
