Welcome back Jo, glad to see you have been still using your Kermie even if you have been too busy to be on the forum. You are forgiven.  ;) ;)

It's lovely to have you back with us.

Thanks!

I have to admit that I am yet to use the Varoma... need to find some recipes to try soon. A friend who has a TM called Hermie is thinking of having a Varoma demo in the new year, so shall go to that.

Welcome back! I did the same thing, joined earlier last year then disappeared for about 18 months!! When I got my new Timmy, I re-connected with these great people.

Must remember to make that chocolate salami!!
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

Welcome Jojo, I went to a Varoma demo, and yes it helps you realise how simple and easy it is and I use it heaps now! In fact I almost always seem to have it going with some fish or chicken breast rolls or veg above, whilst soup making underneath. I love it for cooking shellfish whilst cooking the sauce below too. Even the steamed desserts are good. I have made the creme caramel  (Flan in Spanish) which is super and also steamed apples (which are perfect) with yummy cider sabayon. The Full Steam ahead book is very good, although at first it doesnt look very appealing, persevere there are some great healthy recipes. Also its a good way to heat up food too, whilst you have something cooking below pop food that needs reheating in the Varoma rather than the microwave. I discovered this one as my microwave had to be serviced and I had to go without it for 2 weeks. It made me realise how good the varoma is for that too! ;)

Some will have heard me go on about the Varoma - but it as bron says it really is such a help - even to put pasta sauce in to keep warm while cooking the pasta below.

Once you start you will be amazed - I steam souffles in it, make bread in it, .....  Just do it.  Use it.  It won't bite you or explode.
