Just a hi
« on: December 13, 2009, 08:43:13 pm »
Hello everyone ,

I have only been using the Thermomix for a month now and I must say I am very excited. I was never into cooking, not much time you see... I knew how to do the basic things in the kitchen nothing complicated but now not only I now how to cook with thermomix but I can bake my own bread!! Suddenly I have my mother asking me to prepare cakes and bread whenevery she is giving a dinner party for her friends. Anyway I'm looking for the easiest recipes I can find for everyday use for as I said not too much time working too many hours

Hi Melina

Having a thermomix has turned me from a cook who had to cook dinner, to someone who looks forward to cooking dinner, cakes, sweets, slices, bread, jam etc etc.  It's added an extaordinary element to my life.

My mum recently told me that she didn't know I was such a good cook.  A wonderful compliment, similar to your experience with your mum asking you to cook for her.

This forum is full of fantastic easy recipes suitable for everyday use, or for special occasions.  Enjoy!

Hi Melina, welcome to the forum.  Nice to hear you are cooking up a storm in your kitchen.  The TMX seems to bring the best out in people - we all have cooking skills hidden away somewhere and it helps bring them out and surprise ourselves.

I beg to differ - the MIL asking you is higher compliment.

Welcome Melina. So glad you have discovered Thermomix and the wonderful changes it makes to your life!!

I'm currently whipping up some items for Christmas Hampers - I did this once long ago (BC) and it was so much work. Now like you my Mother is so impressed (and secretly I'm hoping jealous to motivate her to experiment with her tmx a bit more - shhhh)  at what I'm churning out of my Thermomix!

Couldn't imagine life without it now! Enjoy this forum you'll get a lot out of it!

Welcome Melina,

I am also a recent convert to TMX (mine is named Tuffy), and although I am a fairly competent baker and cook, I am discovering that there IS something new under the sun - and - it is fun to use.  Meal prep time is now playtime!
