Apple sauce
« on: December 20, 2009, 11:53:38 pm »
Good Morning,
I am wanting to make apple sauce for Christmas day, has anyone made the recipe in the EDC, or does anyone have a recipe they can share with me. Also , what sort of apples do I use, red or green. Hope someone can help me. Off to start a day of TM cooking, doing up a basket of goodies for a gift.

Kay, I have used the EDC recipe and it is fine, although I add a little butter and cinnamon.  If you don't peel the apples the sauce still tastes fine, but is a darker colour.

I make the one from the EDC all the time and use green apples  :) I make it to the recipe as I use a lot of it in my baking.

Sorry not mention this before, Kay, I use the green ones.
