Does anyone have failsafe recipes?
« on: December 14, 2009, 03:41:11 am »
As title suggests, wondering if anyone has any failsafe recipes.

My children have recently started the diet and would love some yummy recipes adapted to the Thermie :)

There are some recipes under Special Diets and Ralo has a blog with fail safe recipes. Somewhere under Chit Chat there is a topic on Failsafe (sorry my laptop isn't happy so I cnt do links at the moment).

Not sure what happened to Ralo - brazen20au may be able to help.

Check this post - http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=973.0

The blog was up and running on Wednesday last week, but hadn't been updated for a few months (like mine) but now just doesn't work.

Butterscotch biscuits from Sue Dengates cookbook.

125g butter or marg
100g brown sugar
1 tbsp golden syrup
220g SR flour

Beat together butter, sugar and golden syrup with butterfly for 20 sec speed 4.
mix in flour for 10 sec speed 4.
Roll into balls and flatten with a fork.
Bake at 180 deg for 15 (soft) to 20 min (very crunchy).

My kids love these, I usually make a double batch as they dont last long.

They can also be made with gluten free flour.

The Birgets pear jam recipe is also failsafe from Sue's cookbook - posted in jams section i think.
There is an apricot chicken failsafe recipe posted somewhere too.

If you dont have Sue's cookbook I can keep posting for you but not much point if you already have it.
